Photos Guidelines

Good photos are helpful for any Sales listings.  This help guide will go over images for Listings, your profile, and how to take good photos with your phone and the requirements. 

All uploaded photos must be in the following format in the preferred format:
JPG (or JPEG)
PNG
GIF

HEIC (iPhone) image format is NOT supported, you must convert the image into a JPG or PNG.  GIF images may work or may not display properly.

Listing photos are shown in landscape.  We recommend 1600x1200 as the most optimal size to use. Its 4:3, which is the default for pretty much all smart phones.   We don't recommend using smaller images.  Larger images are okay, but will reduce the upload size as that's limited to a total of 10MB at a time.

To upload an image, click on a button that says Choose Picture or Pictures or "Upload Images", etc.

The Image Manager will pop up.  This is where you may store your photos for your account - they can be used for posting listings, your company logo, etc.  This is handy if you're posting your services in several states, so you won't have to keep re-uploading images.

Upload Images Tab: This is where images can be dropped, or a file requester window will allow you to select the image(s) you want to upload to X-SPLEX.

My Images Tab: This is where all your images are stored.  Depending on the mode, you can either select just a single image (Company Logo or Listing thumbnail) or several images (Image gallery for listing)

After selecting your image(s), press the Choose Pictures button at the bottom of the Image Manager pop-up, this is clickable on the My Images tab.

Note: Clicking outside the Image Manager pop-up will close the window.



Photo Quality Tips
Using good photos for your listing will help your sales.  All sales listings require at least a single photo.  We do recommend  4~10 photos per listing in landscape.

If you need to crop or resized your photos, there are free apps and website tools you can use on your desk or edit on your phone with its built-in tools. 

We recommend Faststone (its free) for windows or use the one included with Windows or MacOS.

On the web, you recommend Lunapic for photo editing.

It's 100% free to use.  Drag and drop your image, crop, resize down to 1600 x 1200, etc.

We want our sellers to have good photos as it improves the experience for all users on our platform. 

Other notes:
Members can use a face photo or their company logo as a profile photo.  But only sellers' profile photo are shown in listings, their storefront and members' following list. 

All sales listings require at least one photo. 

Even if it's a service provider listing, it can be a photo of your office, your staff, your freight trucks, your company logo, etc.
Perhaps show photos of your past work in CAD, installation, etc.
