X-SPLEX Messaging
In this section, we'll go over the functions, buttons, and sorting for messages and how direct messaging works between buyers and sellers to discuss listed items.
For end users, their default page on the Dashboard is Messaging.
For X-SPLEX Pro users (Sellers), on the Dashboard menu is a button for "Messages".
It will very much look like this.
The Features and Functions:
The default view is ALL Messages.
You may select to view only Sales or RFX messages.
You may select how many messages per page (25 is the default), and you can type in a keyword search for any of your messages, such as: User From, Listing title, Listing Type.
Messages are organized and sortable:
XS/RX#: X-SPLEX Listing ID #.
Listing: The title of the listing.
Message Type: Sales, RFX, Offer, Proposal.
[ Message Button ]: Pop-up for the Message thread.
From: The member who has sent you the message.
Seller names are shown for Sales.
End-user names are not displayed, but are shown as a generated handle: 4EU-Nov15 = 4th interested buyer on November 15th.
RFX are shown as a handle, which is their RX#. RX-501 is user RX-501.
$ (dollar amount): Price of the Listing as currently set by the Seller.
Priority: The importance of that message thread; you may select the value based on your own needs, and it is private to your account. None is the default. May select Okay, High or Hot.
Type: The type within a category of the message thread. Box Truck, Sit-Down, Freight Broker, etc.
Date: Date of the message created.
St: State where the Listing is located.
[ Delete Button ] : Removes the Message thread between you and the other party. They will not be able to restart another thread about the same sales listing. This cannot be undone.
Mini-Messager are pop-up windows of messages related to specific listing (Sales or RFX). It shows the same information, but is focused for listing being viewed.

The Messaging Popup are very much the same for Buyers and Sellers as well as Sales and RFX.
All Sales Buyers will see the same info, which shows the Sellers contact info, a button to their storefront, Conversation area, Texting box (resizable), Send your BIZCARD info and Private notes.
Back-and-forth messaging isn't in real time yet, and most communications won't be that fast anyway. Closing the Messaging window or refreshing your browser page will update any new message from the other party.
RFX (Buyer / End User)
This works very much Sales Messaging. All RFX messages pop-ups are green, Sales are blue. When a seller is sending you a proposal or asking you questions, their contact information is available to you at any time. You may choose to reply to them or ignore their messages, delete, etc.

Message Pop Ups: Sellers Side.
The functions are mostly the same as buyers with a few differences. When it comes to Sales listings, you can adjust the price of the sales listing to each potential buyer. The default retail price is shown. When you change the price, it will be reflected in your messenger as well as the buyer's. The pricing will also be updated on your Message list and Mini Messager.
Then the buyer cannot choose what the price is of a listing during negotiations at any time. Only the seller has that option.
End User names are not shown at first. This is a feature. They can quickly ask a seller questions and if they want to continue, they may press their BIZ CARD button at any time.
If the message is from another X-SPLEX seller, then their company name will be shown, rather than an EU-Generated handle. You'll know instantly if you're talking to an end user or dealer.

Seller / RFX
When sending offers to an RFX listing, no contact information is displayed. But, it will show if the poster of the RFX listing is an End user, a Dealer, Freight or Service Provider.
Adjusting the price of your proposal works the same as Sales Listing. You control the agreed-upon price that both parties can see.
